I have a background in gifted education, but currently work full time as a writer and creator/seller of teacher resources. I have over 100 nonfiction books children in print, which you see using the tab above. In addition, I have written several teacher resource books. The ones I am most proud of are a series of Creative and Critical Thinking Skills books that I wrote for Evan Moor.
Although I enjoy writing books, my passion is creating high quality, ready-to-use teaching resources which I sell on the TeachersPayTeachers website. I believe our future depends on our children being able to think creatively and critically, so I incorporate higher level thinking skills into almost everything I create. Currently, I have over 130 products listed and about a fourth of them are free. I am one of the Top 20 best sellers on the site and I am the second highest rated seller on the site. I love that I am able to make a good portion of my living helping other teachers and touching the lives of thousands of children across the planet.
I am the mother of two terrific teens. David is in his first year of college at Evergreen State college in Olympia, Washington. Lucy is a thriving high school sophomore. I also have a stunning boyfriend and an annoying cat. We live in the Seattle area which is beautiful...and wet.
When I am not at the computer, I love to travel, read, bike, play racquetball, do ZUMBA and crochet obnoxiously colorful hats.
